Monsters of Thay
Large with dark green scales and prominent ridges along his facial features. K’Talis speaks heavily accented and broken Common. His rough voice, great size, and deepset eyes make him always appear angry, although a quick conversation in Draconic reveals otherwise. K’Talis is a good listener and enjoys talking to others about the histories and tales of their homelands. K’Talis speaks openly about what happened after being captured by Thay, but is elusive about what he did in the earlier years of his life. He was enslaved for nearly a decade and spent most of his time fighting in the arena as “The Great Green Monster.” During a Thayan holiday, he lost an arena match to Doran Ironpick, who (much to the Thayan’s anger) refused to kill K’Talis. K’Talis is motivated by a desire to see the world, repay Doran for sparing his life, and repay his liberators for freeing him from Thay.
