Dok was a hunter of sorts, specializing in the removal of dangerous, magical beasts that lived in hard to reach places under the city of Waterdeep. On one of his adventures, he saved the life of a popular bard. In thanks, the bard wrote a song to honor his savior. The song was very catchy, and as happens with many pub tunes, began to take on many unsavory verses.
Unable to disassociate his true exploits and good name from the fictitious tales sung in taverns far and wide, Dok began a trek across Faerun to escape his ridiculous celebrity status. One night, while walking down a dark road, Dok was nearly run over by a wagon carrying slaves through Thay. Armed to the teeth with daggers and short blades, the Thayans assumed they must have come across a wandering blademaster of great skill.
Dok was captured and placed into forced servitude with other adventurers. It didn’t take long for the bonds of slavery to chafe and Dok and his fellow captives tunneled out to safety.
As a free halfling, Dok hopes to create a new legend of himself. The kind that inspires respect and pride, not laughter and shaking heads.
Dok’s path through the battlefield is unmistakable. If a monster died of wounds exclusively from the waist down, it was probably Dok.
